Welcome
to American Legion, Francis Scott Key Post #11.
Our
Post Home (pictured above) has undergone dramatic changes in
the last few years with the support of our 2300 + membership and
leadership of our fine officers, Auxiliary Unit, and Sons of the
American Legion. Our Post Home has been remodeled adding a new
lounge, and game room facilities.
Our
post is a proud post which was organized in August 1919 with 48 charter
members, purchased in 1928, and named after the author of the “Star
Spangled Banner” who is now buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery in
Frederick, Maryland.
Our
purpose is to support our veterans and active duty members of the Army,
Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, and to remember those who have
died or become POW’s in the defense of our nation as well as support
our community with donations to charitable organizations.
